Selena Gomez produced this show among many others. A film from Universal Pictures based on the book began development in February 2011, with Selena Gomez set to star as Hannah, before being shelved in favour of a television series and Netflix ordering an adaptation as a limited series in October 2015, with Gomez instead serving as an executive producer.
The series revolves around high school student Clay Jensen and the aftermath of high school student Hannah Baker‘s suicide. Baker leaves behind a box of Tapes in which she details why she chose to end her life. She also tells about the people she believes are responsible for her death.

Season 4 mainly deals with Police brutality. The show edited out a pivotal scene due to its controversial nature. Hanna Baker’s suicide scene was edited out from Season 1 after backlash. Season 4 has many key events, but most heartbreaking is Justin Foley’s tragic conclusion. Due to homelessness, heroin addiction, and STDs.
However, In the final episodes of the season, it is revealed that Justin has progressed into AIDS and ends up passing away in the end. It was informed that he engaged in sexual activities to have drugs.
