Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why season 4, may turn out to be the controversial US show’s final season. It is likely to cause more controversy. Rumours are spreading that the show includes a graphic suicide scene in the past.
The third season landed on Netflix in August 2019. The fourth season has official confirmations to go ahead.
Jay Asher’s book of the same name inspires the series. But it dominates the source material. It initially centres on Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette). Later on, it follows the death of Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford).
But it will be the drama’s final chapter. Sources tell that 13 Reasons Why is a “pricey drama”. The cast recently receives significant pay rises. It is produced by Paramount TV, which means Netflix has to pay a hefty licensing fee.
13 Reasons Why Season 4: Release Date
There is no mention of the official release date yet. However, Netflix reveals that the fourth series is currently in production.
The first series of the show is released in March 2017 and the second came out in May 2018. The fans have to wait 15 months for the season 3. However, so it’s likely series 4 will release on Netflix in early to mid-2020.
13 Reasons Why Season 4: Cast
Since there are no significant deaths in season 3, many of the primary cast will be returning. The cast includes Dylan Minnette as play and Christian Navarro as Tony. Alisha Boe plays the role of Jessica, and Miles Heizer plays Alex. Justin Foley acts as Justin and Ross Butler as Zach. Finally, Devin Druid lives Tyler.
However, there is a significant death confirmation of Bryce Walker ahead of season 3. Bryce’s death has confirmations in the season 3 promo. On the contrary, he may return in series 4 in flashback scenes of hallucinations.
The series also announces some new cast set to join the show in its final season. It includes Marvel’s Runaways star, JanLuis Castellanos. He plays Diego Torres, the charismatic and aggressive captain of the football team.
No plot details regarding the series are released yet. Events in season 3 will determine much of what will happen in the next season.
The third season has expectations of picking up eight months after series 2. It has plans to focus on teens of Liberty High.
