Emily’s Age And Some Facts!
If you watched Netflix’s Emily in Paris, the show dropped some clues about the age of Emily.
But it was never clear about her exact date of birth. First and foremost, we understand that Emily Cooper is absent from college for at least a few years as she states that she has a master’s degree in marketing in an early episode.
Emily Cooper is from Chicago, so if, like most Midwesterners, she began college at 18. She would have graduated from college at 22. And she also has a Masters in Communications, even though she was on the East / West college schedule of attendance between the ages of 17-21. It would have actually taken her two years to complete after her initial degree.
Emily went to work for the Gilbert Group in Chicago after finishing her marketing degree, which would have been about the age of 23 or 24. She worked long enough that when her boss, Madeleine Wheeler, could no longer take a role in Paris. She was offered the gig. Even if she had only worked for a year for the Gilbert Community, Emily would be about 25, a time that many fans obviously took for granted. Series lead Lily Collins began talking about the age of her character.
Lily Collins Confuses Us About Emily Age
Lily Collins did what seemed to be some bad math earlier this month in an interview with Vogue. She told the publication that she sees Emily Cooper as a woman who is 22.
Lily is an actress at the University of Southern California who attended college. Although she told Shondaland, she had not yet graduated in 2019. But, obviously, she should have a measure of how college and master’s degrees operate. But, even though she’s not up on corporate growth, she’d be able to find out the age of Emily Cooper.
I don’t believe we’ve ever given her a specific ‘number’ for her age, but I believe that she’s pretty fresh out of college. Maybe this is her first year after graduation. I want to say she’s like, 22-ish. She’s had enough experience at her company in Chicago to have earned the respect of her boss. She’s a smart cookie and really innovative – and this is not her first rodeo doing what she does. She was really, really focused on her jobs in the Midwest, and I don’t think she’s been abroad.
The good news is, the actress’ gaffe was a good sport for her. Over the weekend, via social media, she took her Instagram Stories to poke a little fun at her mistake. This is something which will definitely be accepted by Emily Cooper herself.
