Donald Trump Defends He Up-Played Coronavirus

A few days ago, Donald Trump got accused of downplaying the coronavirus pandemic in the US. A recording between Pulitzer prize winner Woodwork and Trump shows Trump revealing it to Woodwork that he downplayed the virus as he didn’t want the Americans to go into a panic. It led to a lot of backlash from the Democrats. However, in a recent interview, he defended himself and countered that he up-played the coronavirus. He said:

β€œYeah, well, I didn’t downplay it. I actually, in many ways, I up-played it, in terms of action. My action was very strong.”

When asked about the disappearance of the virus, he said:

Trump Reveals Why He Does Not Promote Wearing Of Masks

Donald Trump is probably the only world leader who doesn’t give importance to masks when it comes to the virus. He doesn’t wear the mask, and his supporters who come for his rally also don’t bother to wear one. Trump even made fun of Biden wearing a mask all the time. Moreover, he has a justification for not forcing people to wear a mask. He said:

β€œThere are people that don’t think masks are good.”
