As Chrissy Teigen Gets Pregnant, She Wants John Legend To Talk To Kids About Racism!: Chrissy Teigen is pregnant with her third child. John and Chrissy were blessed with a third child when their expectations were going low due to infertility issues.

However, Chrissy, in her recent interview, opened up about the challenge of being a celebrity and how it is tough for her to teach her children about the privilege they have as celebrity kids. She said:

β€œThere are books that I read when I became a mom that would explain to them hard and traumatic situations. But it’s really hard to teach them about their privilege β€” there are no books for that.”

Chrissy Teigen Opens Up About Teaching Her Kids About Skin Color And Racism

Chrissy’s kids are too small to understand racism and skin colour. However, she will ask John to speak up about his experiences when the time arrives. She said:

β€œBut regardless of money or status, they’re always going to have their skin colour. When it comes to them being treated differently because of the colour of their skin, I’m going to look to John for a lot of help with that because while they are Asian and white too, their skin colour is Black.”

Chrissy Teigen Tries To Be Honest With Her Children

When it comes to parenting, Chrissy tries to be as honest as possible. She tries to answer the question of her kids in a natural way that is also understandable to them. She said:

β€œWe just try to talk to them like little adults, saying it in words they’ll understand, making it known that it’s very serious, and letting them ask as many questions as they need.”

John Legend Feels His Kids Can Experience A Lot Of Different Culture

Chrissy and John come from different cultures, and this will expose their kids to a wide range of cultures. In one of his interviews, John said:

β€œChrissy’s dad is white, her mother is Thai, both my parents are Black and from Ohio and we’ve definitely got an interesting cultural mix for my kids to kind of experience from all their grandparents and aunts and uncles but I feel like it’s gone so well.”
