The third-gen BMW X6 is all set to launch in the Indian market on June 11, 2020. BMW India officially teased the launch of a new-gen car earlier on its website while the bookings started for the car in January 2020.
The SUV launched globally last year. However, this was expected to launch in India earlier. But due to the coronavirus outbreak, the nation-wide lockdown was announced. Much like other events, this delayed the launching of the BMW car also. But for now, the Mercedez-Benz and BMW decided to launch the car in this lockdown time.
BMW X6’s Features
The X6 will be brought to India as Completely Built Units valuing new import rules. So, 2020 X6 expected to be available in two trim levels. They are – xLine and M Sport. The BMW X6 may costs between 90 lakh to 1 crore INR.
This BMW X6 has subtle changes in its exterior design. The X6 looks more sporty and aggressive than the old-gen car models of BMW. However, the overall silhouette of the coupe SUV is readied as its previous cars. This third-gen SUV contains a larger footprint compared to its predecessor. The car features BMW’s double-kidney grille with vertical slats finished in chrome. Along with a new set of LED headlights with the brand’s laser light with adaptive LED headlights. Also a reshaped taillights and a dual exhaust among the other models.
The interior section of the BMW X6 is similar to the inside features of other models of the brand. The X6 features Vernasca leather standard upholstery, power-operated seats with massage facility. It also has four-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof. Along with gear lever finished in glass and a premium audio system from Bowers and Wilkins. X6 also features a large touch screen infotainment system. It supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, as well as BMW’s latest technology.
BMW X6 has a total of four engine options in the International market. For India, it will feature the ‘xDrive40i’ 3-liter, six-cylinder, turbo petrol engine, which produces 340hp and 450Nm torque. This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels.
