Since the launch of Call of Duty in 2005, the game finally will have a new title on its birthday. Because of Coronavirus pandemic, everything in our daily changed. All the industries get affected, so does the gaming and tech industry.
A big-budget popular game like Call of Duty needs immense teamwork and collaborative effort from many game developers. And because of the pandemic, everyone including developers forced to work remotely, maintaining the rules and regulations of social distancing.
In this time it is not unexpected that the launch of the game delayed for an indefinite period. But thankfully, the developers of the game are very much dedicated to their work and the release date of the game has not changed much.
About The Annoucement
Earlier rumors spread out about the new Call of Duty release. It said Activision planning to delay the new Call of Duty title and gathered steam before worldwide lockdown and work from home law enforcement. However, the rumors are now debunked.
In the Activision’s 2020 Q1 earning calls Daniel Alegre has cleared all the doubts of the fans from the company’s side. Mr. Daniel Alegre is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Activision and he has some good news for us.
He said- ” The digital nature of our content means that our creative talent can continue to work on our product pipelines even from home. Although, the shift to remote working does have many complexity and challenges in some areas of a game development process. We are implementing mitigation measures to each and to address each of these areas. Based on the work to date, we still expect to deliver the robust state of content over the next remainder of the year. This includes the next premium release of Call of Duty.”
We hope to see the brand new Call of Duty before the ending of this year. And all thanks goes to the game developer team of Activision and Treyarch. Till then we can spend our quarantine time with Modern Warfare and Warzone.
