Gwyneth asked about the life after retirement and Cameron apparently has no regrets about her decision. She said, “Like peace. Peace in my soul because I was finally taking care of myself.”

Cameron admitted that the life of a movie star is very tiring and it was not worth it for her. She felt that she got a lot of attention which she didn’t like a lot. According to her, it requires a lot of energy to be a movie star, and she did not want that. Cameron said, “It’s a strange thing to say, I know a lot of people won’t understand it, I know you understand it, but it was so intense to work at that level and be that public and put yourself out there.”
Cameron Diaz Reveals Why She Decided To Quit Hollywood
As per Cameron, she felt she was not doing justice to her life, and her perception changed after turning 40. She had no time for herself, and she had already spent the majority of her life like that. She said, “I stopped and really looked at my life. When you’re making a movie … they own you. You’re there for 12 hours a day for months on end you have no time for anything else.”
