If you are thinking of coming back to the game after a sabbatical or wanted to start playing the super-hyped game, now is the time.
How Did It Work? (Candy Crush)
While swapping and matching candies, if you run out of the certain moves of a given level then you lose a life. Generally, you get 5 lives every 24 hrs. When you have used all these lives, you wait for the replenishment of lives or buy them up.
But now you don’t have to spend bucks buying lives or sit idle waiting for the recharge. You now will have unlimited lives. This addictive game has become more addictive.
This change is not a random move. The move is in support of WHOs initiative #PlayApartTogether.
It is a promotional campaign encouraging people to practice social distancing to curb the spread of COVID -19 pandemic by bringing special events, exclusives, activities, rewards, and more for some of the most popular games out there.
WHO declared “gaming disorder” a behavioural addiction on its list of diseases last year. Thus, it’s teaming up with the gaming industry is quite ironic.
Gaming companies including Activision Blizzard, Kabam, Snap Games, Amazon Appstore, Maysalward, Twitch, Big Fish Games, Playtika, Unity, Pocket Gems, Riot Games, YouTube Gaming, and Zynga have partnered with the WHO for the campaign.
