Check Out: Harry Styles Along With Lily James In A New LGBTQ+ Movie: Harry Styles Movie Selection Shows He’s A Better Man. Harry Styles has caught the acting bug, and it simply won’t let it go.
The famous songwriter and Lily James are in talks to star in an adaptation of Bethan Robert’s LGBTQ+ novel My Policeman. Harry started his acting career with Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk.
The currently untitled film “My Policeman” is the second movie for Styles in as many weeks, after signing for Oliver Wilde’s thriller Don’t Worry Darling. Along with former One Direction star, Dakota Johnson, Florence Pugh, and Chris Pine also star in this thriller.
Lily James plays the female lead role, and Harry Styles, a handsome policeman, called Tom.
Directed by Michael Grandage, with Oscar-nominated writer Ron Nyswaner adapting Robert’s book has been acquired by Amazon Studios.
The film is set in the 1950s Brighton, England when homosexuality was illegal.
In the movie, a schoolteacher named Marion, played by Lily, instantly falls in love with Tom. But after some time, Tom meets Patrick, a museum curator. Patrick shows Tom a wholly new and different world. However, now Tom has to make a difficult but necessary decision.
Tom is in love with Patrick but is not sure if it is the right time to rebel with the world, fighting for love, when homosexuality was a crime. Tom is confused about whether he should marry Marion and lead a tension free life or stay with his true love Patrick in times like that, so both his lovers had to stay and share him. It is not before one of them breaks, and all the three lives are changed forever.
Now, we have to wait for the movie to release and get to know the ending.
