Check Out: President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump Test Positive For COVID-19: The US Presidential election is just right about the corner, and President Donald Trump has started his election campaign.
On early Friday morning, President Trump announced that both he and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for coronavirus.
On Friday morning, shortly before 1 am, Trump tweeted:
“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!”
TRUMP’s AIDE TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
Recently one of Trump’s top aide tested positive for coronavirus. And hearing about her, Trump decided on late Thursday that he will go into quarantine.
On Thursday night, Trump tweeted:
“Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid 19. Terrible! The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!”
Trump and Hicks have met and travelled several times. On Tuesday, Hicks and Trump were seen boarding Marine One to go for the debate in Cleveland.
Along with Hicks, several other of the President’s closest aide accompanied him for the campaign rally in Minnesota. They included Jared Kushner, Dan Scavino, and Nicholas Luna; none wore any mask to protect themselves and others from the deadly virus.
TRUMP’S ATTITUDE TOWARDS THIS DEADLY VIRUS
Trump always played down the severity of the outbreak that has killed more than 270,000 in the United States. He said that “the end of the pandemic is in sight.” With him testing positive for COVID-19, he threw the nation’s leadership into uncertainty and escalated the crisis faced by a pandemic.
As the incubation period for the novel coronavirus can be up to two weeks, so according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, a 14 days quarantine should occur. This 14 days period starts after the last known exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Although it is still unknown how and what the “quarantine process” of President Trump will look like, but for everyone’s safety, he has to be kept in quarantine for at least 14 days.
Other White House officials were also informed of the situation and have been asked to take the test.
