Karate kid sequel
The refreshing sequel to the 1984 movie that blew our minds, Karate Kid, is set for its third season. The series called Cobra Kai sees a storyline change when antagonist Johnny Lawrence(William Zabka) seeks redemption.
Cobra kai is a comedy-drama series with a unique martial art setting. The show is set thirty-four years later after the events of Karate Kid and tries to look at things through the eyes of Johnny. Johnny tries to open the Cobra kai dojo which in turn sparks up his old rivalry with Daniel LaRusso(Ralph Macchio).
The series is doing great so far, with 100% and 89% rotten tomatoes for seasons 1 and 2 respectively.
The third season of Cobra kai will get its release in January of 2021. Thankfully, it is one of the few series not affected by the coronavirus. This is because the shooting was completed even before 2020. That’s pretty impressive.
In season 3 Daniel’s family would express their unease, with his quest for nostalgia and kicking. Meanwhile, Johnny would also face loss as he loses his dojo at the hand of his own student.
On a good note, the series will most likely confirm the survival of Miguel. We last so Miguel getting kicked off a balcony by Robby, which could be potentially life-threatening.
Season 3 promises to be an absolute blast. We cannot wait!
