Coronavirus: Russia launches the most awaited COVID-19 vaccine!

COVID-19 is an infectious disease that has left the world under an ongoing pandemic. People who test positive for COVID-19 virus experience fever, headache, and other minor respiratory illness. COVID-19 vaccine release

COVID-19 vaccine is not yet available in the markets to treat patients. But there are many clinical trials going on to develop a potential vaccine in order to trigger the disease. Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Tuesday that they had developed the world’s first vaccine for the novel Coronavirus. The Russian claim to have developed the coronavirus vaccine received varied responses from worldwide authorities.

How effective is the Russian COVID-19 vaccine?

The vaccine, named β€˜Sputnik V’, received approval by Russia’s health ministry. Sputnik V has not cleared a crucial stage of testing on humans. Therefore, this results in a dubious outlook towards the vaccine. Various health officials around the world have criticised Russia for launching the vaccine in a hurry.Β  Moreover, they say that Russia released the vaccine without going through all the phases of clinical trials.

The reaction of various world leaders towards Russian Vaccine release

Jens Spahn
German Health Minister Jens Spahn is doubtful about the Russian vaccine release. Spahn said that the vaccine is not yet fully tested. So, it could be dangerous to test the vaccine on millions of people.

Rodrigo Duterte
The Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte is ready to support Russia in its efforts to test the vaccine. He also said that he is ready to be injected with the Russian vaccine. This is to make people get rid of the fear of the newly developed vaccine.

Aleksandar Vucic
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic appreciated Russia because of their efforts to generate the vaccine. He further said he would be the first one to order the vaccine for his country after the approval of Serbian specialists.

Dr Anthony Fauci
The United States’ expert Dr Anthony Fauci said that he is doubtful if the Russian vaccine is safe. He further said that he was awaiting the confirmation for the vaccine to be effective.

Besides that, various other leaders and health experts also expressed their opinions on the release of Russia Sputnik V vaccine.
