The Emmy Award will take place on 26 June 2020. The organisers of the show have postponed the events multiple times this year. Usually, the awards take place with a lot of fanfare and many celebrities take part in it. The nominations for the event were to take place on April 27, 2020. However, the nominations got pushed to May 21, 2020. The award ceremony was to take place from June 12- June 14. It would have been the first time when the award would have taken place over three days. However, the coronavirus pandemic has forced the organisers to push the date to June 26, 2020.
Where To Watch Daytime Emmy Awards 2020
The award ceremony was initially supposed to take place in Pasadena, California. Due to the social distancing measures, this year’s Emmy will be a virtual event wherein actors will tune from different locations for the award via video conferencing. The premiere of the award ceremony will take place in CBS. Moreover, it is after 5 years that the award is coming back to television after it was relegated to streaming media in 2015. The event won’t air in CBS as a live ceremony. The Talk’s Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba and Marie Osmond will host it.
