Destiny 2 Leak Reveals Details About Next Expansion:
Destiny had first arrived in 2014, and now its time for Destiny 2. Since then, the entity known as Darkness has been an ever-present threat to players. It has just started slowly revealing itself recently. Things may be coming to a head; however, as players discovered that the Darkness ships have begun to enter the solar system.
The ships are slowly approaching as Season of the Worthy rolls forward. This arrival also seems to indicate an entirely new direction for Destiny 2.
A new leak originating on 4Chan made its way over to Sweatcicle. Sweatcicle is a well-respected member of the Destiny 2 community. According to the information, most of the studio has undergone a significant fall expansion, known as Collapse.
The content is originally a part of Destiny 3. But it has been reestablished and broken off as a standalone expansion.
Destiny 2: The Plot
In terms of content, the expansion will deal with Pyramid Ships. These ships will be finally arriving and setting the Darkness up. On the contrary, there will be a big villain with a leader known as the Winnower. Winnower appears like a ghost and a veiled woman.
She looks similar to what is shown inside the Shadowkeep’s Pyramid Ship. Two new destinations are being added. One is Europa, another of Jupiter’s moons, as well as a massive city inside the Darkness ship called Finality.
Emperor Calus, Eris Morn, and Mara Sov all seem to be significant players in the storyline of the expansion. Each class will gain a Darkness subclass with all-new abilities. The players will be fighting off a new faction called the Veil. The Veil is described as ghostly looking, and it has the latest units out of all enemy factions.
The expansion will have a new break-in that takes the players into the Winnower’s Domain. It will be adding further strikes, and the leak also indicates that Bungie will be revealing it sometime in June. This will be a similar date that aligns with last year’s reveal of Shadowkeep.
Can We Trust The Reveals?
Some are hoping that at least a portion of the supposed leak is real. The game is currently in the middle of a significant down-swing with fans. Players are quickly burning out and becoming bored with the experience. They are struggling to play through the same content over and over without any kind of new rewards or things to chase.
Things have got so direct that even major streamers like Gladd are starting to turn away from the game. Also, if this leak will not be the future of Destiny 2, Bungie needs to strive to bring their fans back.
Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One
