Dinesh Karthik Credits McCullum For His Half Century

Dinesh Karthik has been under pressure for quite some time in IPL 2020 as he was failing to deliver it with the bat. Even though KKR were winning the matches under him, he was not contributing personally to his team. However, against Punjab, he scored a much-needed half-century to make a total of 164. He gave credit to his coach McCullum for his motivation and backing. He said:

β€œMcCullum has been encouraging me to bat higher in the order, but I am looking at what the team needs. I have to give him credit for keeping me in this space.”

Loss Of Wickets Led To Punjab Losing IPL 2020 Match Against KKR

Punjab lost too many wickets in the end to lose the match against KKR. Rahul said, β€œWe weren’t satisfied at any stage during the run-chase, you’re only satisfied when you win. Mayank and I started well, but if you lose wickets in clusters at the end, it’s hard to get over the line.”
