Dr Anthony Fauci : On Monday, in an interview with NBC’s “TODAY” Dr Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, predicts that by the end of 2020 a ‘safe and effective’ coronavirus vaccine will be developed.
He says there is enough number of vaccine trial for the American public to feel comfortable. But as flu season is coming, we just need to be cautious and make sure the cases don’t rush up.
Fauci said, “What I’d really like to see is a full-court press to get us way down as a baseline so that when u get these cases in the fall, they won’t surge up.”
Fauci reminds us to wear masks, keep social distancing and avoids crowds, as he keeps fixating on how Americans need to stop this from spreading rather than adding to the list anymore. He says as Labor Day is coming, we need to be cautious. Not to increase the number of cases as seen after both Fourth of July and Memorial Day.
Fauci addressed coronavirus outbreak at several universities after they reopen and students returned to campus; he urges not to send the people who test positive back home, as they might help to spread the virus back home.
Fauci tells them to keep positive people in a place that is sequestered enough from the other students.
