Synopsis

Gravity Falls is one of the only animated shows in English that is serialised. It gives enough space for character development, instead of following different timelines like The Simpsons. The Creator Alex Hirsch structured the show in a way that the show pushes itself through the plot using something the characters in the show care about, i.e. through an emotional connection. This makes the viewers root for the characters. It can be treated as a mix between Twin Peaks and The Simpsons.

Will there be more?

The third season scratch-off largely on Alex Hirsch, because the hour-long sequence of the main protagonist(s), The Pine Twins in Season 2 was considered as a sensible ending in 2015. Gravity Falls is likely to “Never Return”. But there might be a spin-off in the making. There is no particular release date for the new episodes yet. But we will keep you updated.
