The Viral Video
Horrifying! Man Commits Suicide & Live Streamed The Video: Ronnie McNutt, 33, took his own life at home and broadcasted the incident on Facebook. He was sitting in his chair and came live to commit suicide. The man is known to be a friendly man by nature.
Shockingly, the video was live-streamed on Facebook. From that time, it is shared continuously on various social media platforms such as Tiktok, Whatsapp, etc. Despite removing it on the same day, the video gets transmitted multiple times. Tik-Tok also tried to limit its view by shutting down the reuploads. However, the video went viral.
One user wrote:
“Please say a prayer right now for the family of Ronnie McNutt. He just killed himself live on FB and I cannot unsee this. I tried but apparently, it wasn’t quick enough to reach him. I wasn’t quick enough. Dear God I wish I could have gotten to him.”
“If you see this guy on your FYP [For You page] please scroll up immediately, it’s very gruesome and I highly suggest you stay away from TikTok for a while.”
Tik-Tok Tries To Do Damage Control
Tik-Tok is trying its best to remove any clips of the horrendous incident, but it is an arduous task to do. The users who are reuploading the viral clip are getting banned from the social media platform.
Some sources also mention that the clip was on TikTok’s “For You” trending homepage. If the news is trustworthy, then obliterating it from Tik-Tok is difficult. A large number of users have claimed that they watched the incident unintentionally. Now, they are spreading the message to others to be cautious and not click a video which has a bearded man talking on a phone as a thumbnail.
A Tik-Top employer said that suicide’s video went viral on many popular social media platforms. Still, the social media authorities are flagging the video as it violates the policy of content that depicts, encourages or glorifies suicide in any way.
The Horrific Step
McNutt was a former army veteran who worked at Toyota plant in Blue Springs, New Albany. There are rumours that he lost his job and was going through a breakup. However, the reasons aren’t confirmed yet. Ronnie’s body was found at his home in Mississippi on August 31. He took his life by shooting himself with a gun. It made him commit suicide.
