Iyer Credits Bowlers For Yet Another IPL 2020 Win

IPL 2020 DC Vs RR: Young Captain Iyer Leads Delhi To Another Victory: Shreyas Iyer is emerging out as one of the most successful captains of IPL 2020. Delhi is currently dominating the tournament and has lost only one match till now. Yesterday they took on Rajasthan Royals and it was another win for Delhi as their bowling shined against RR. Iyer was happy with the bowlers and said:

β€œI’m really happy with the way we came out in the second inning. We thought it was an under-par score but it was stopping on the wicket and the bowlers executed their plans really well. We were also going to bowl first with the dew factor, but thankfully it went in our favor.”

Shreyas Iyer Is Enjoying His IPL 2020 Captaincy

Shreyas Iyer is showing signs of a mature captain at this very young age and we might be looking at a future India captain. Moreover, he is enjoying his time as the captain as he has a great team to his credit. He said:

β€œI am enjoying captaincy because the players make it really easy, especially the bowlers. Even the way the support staff is managing the team meetings is commendable. I think the mixture in our team is really good and we have worked really hard on this.”

Iyer Hopes To Continue The Same Momentum

Shreyas Iyer is hoping that he and his team will cling on to this momentum and confidence to qualify for IPL 2020 playoffs. He said, β€œThe boys have shared their thoughts pre-tour and their strengths and weaknesses. I am happy with how we are progressing and hoping to maintain the momentum.” Iyer led his team to IPL playoffs last season as well when he debuted as the captain of Delhi Capitals.
