Kolkata Steal Victory From Chennai In IPL 2020

Chennai was going well in their run chase against Kolkata in IPL 2020 which looked like a pretty one-sided affair until the Chennai batsmen went through some bad overs and gave away the match. CSK bowlers bowled beautifully to all-out the Kolkata team at 167 which looked like an easy total. A half-century from Watson meant an easy win, but that was not the case. A few tight overs from Kolkata increased the run rate, and the team could never reach the target even though they had lost only five wickets.

Dinesh Karthik Praises Narine For His Bowling Against CSK In IPL 2020

Dinesh Karthik praised Narine for bowling tight when the team required him to give away minimum runs. Narine was having a mediocre season, and even though the stats don’t justify it, he played a crucial role in their victory against CSK. Dinesh Karthik was happy with Narine and called him a key player. He said:

β€œThere are some key players for every team. Narine is one for us. Least we can do is back him. 2-3 poor games, doesn’t matter.”

Dinesh Karthik Praises Tripathi For His Knock Against CSK In IPL 2020

Dinesh Karthik praised Tripathi who scored 81 runs for his team. Karthik said:

β€œGood to see Tripathi do the job at the top. The good thing about Russ is he’s very versatile. He can bat slightly up, slightly down. Our batting is very fluid. I started at three, today I batted at seven. The way those guys batted at the start, they batted very well.”

Batsman Let The Bowlers Down, Feels Dhoni

Dhoni was not happy with the result as his team was winning the game ultimately. He said:

β€œI think we did well in general with the ball, but the batsmen let the bowlers down today. Rotation of strike was important, but I think there were hardly any boundaries in the final few overs, so we need to be innovative at the end when they are continuously hitting a back of a length. That’s where we need to adapt better with the bat and I don’t think we did that.”
