Rajasthan Royals took on Chennai Super Kings yesterday in IPL 2020, and the ball was flying all over the park. After the first wicket went down, Sanju Samson and Steve Smith decided to give and take the match in their hands. Attacking would be an understatement to describe their batting as they went after every bowler. Samson hit 74 from 34 balls while Steve Smith also added 69 to the score. Chennai Bowlers Take A Hit On Confidence Against Rajasthan

The Chennai bowlers were left with no pride in the end as Rajasthan ended the inning with a massive 216 runs at the end of the match. Bowlers like Chawla and Ngidi turned out too expensive for the team as Rajasthan had an answer for every length and line. Post the wicket of Samson, players were getting out quickly, and a threat of batting collapse was looming. However, even the batsman getting out were hitting a six or four before getting out. It kept the momentum going for the team.

Faf Du Plessis Leads A Solo March For Chennai Against Rajasthan In IPL 2020

Chennai started in a promising fashion with Shane Watson taking charge. However, he also went back to the pavilion after scoring 33 runs. Chennai was never matching the required run rate, and it was climbing up with every over. At this point, Faf Du Plessis came to ruin the Rajasthan party. He started hitting every other ball for six or four. However, an individual effort from him was not enough to save the game as he eventually got out for 72 in the 19th over.

Rajasthan Bowlers Keep The Wickets Falling

Rajasthan bowlers kept the matter tight in the first half and ensured regular fall of wickets. In the end, they gave away runs due to a Faf du Plessis show. However, they were still able to keep CSK below the run rate. In the end, Chennai lost the game after scoring 200 runs after 20 overs.
