SRH Batting Crumbles Yet Again In IPL 2020
In IPL 2020, Sunrisers Hyderabad doesn’t look like the team that was one of the strongest in the past few seasons. It is the only team to lose the first two matches of the IPL. Yesterday, they took on Kolkata Knight Riders that was also coming after a loss. However, SRH batting again showed signs of rustiness as no one was able to play for a long time. Manish Pandey was the only batsman to hit a half-century, but that was not enough to save SRH batting as they ended up with just 142 runs in 20 overs.
Shubman Gill Goes Crazy Against SRH Bowlers
Shubman Gill is an upcoming Indian talent, and he proved his worth when he went after every bowler of SRH. With a low total, the only way to stop KKR was to take wickets. However, Gill was one step ahead as he had an answer against every bowler. Moreover, Eoin Morgan also got going and hit a few boundaries to share the responsibility. In the end, KKR easily won the match. Furthermore, Gill scored a spectacular 70 while Eoin Morgan also scored an impressive 42 runs.
KKR Bowlers Don’t Allow SRH To Settle
If you look at the scorecard, SRH lost just four wickets during 20 overs. It would make you think about what went wrong then. KKR bowlers did not take wickets at every other ball. Instead, they took wickets at crucial intervals. Due to this, SRH was always struggling to stabilize their inning as no batsman was able to settle down. During the 20 overs, they were very slow with scoring runs, and that reflects in their scorecard.
SRH Bowlers Fail To Impress
SRH bowlers were under a lot of pressure as they needed wickets to stop KKR. However, experienced players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave away almost ten runs every over and did not take one door. Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi were impressive with the ball as they reduced the run flow and Rashid even got a wicket. However, that was not enough to stop KKR as they eventually won the match.
