Virat Kohli Credits Chahal For First IPL 2020 Win

Virat Kohli was given credit to Chahal for getting the critical wicket of Bairstow and also taking two more doors to trigger the batting collapse. His praise was justified as Bairstow was looking dangerous and would have taken his team through. He said:

β€œYuzi (Chahal) comes in and completely changed the game for us. Not many spinners got much out of the pitch, but tonight he showed that you can turn it if you have it in your wrists. He showed he can get a purchase on any wicket. The way he came in and bowled attacking lines, he changed the game.”

Virat Heaps Praise On Padikkal And ABD

Players who led the batting attack for RCB was Devdutt Padikkal and ABD. Devdutt was playing his first IPL match, and it was impressive to see him hit a half-century on his debut. Virat was also apparent with his captaincy and was regularly communicating with the bowlers. He praised the two batting stars for the game and said:

β€œWe started really well. Devdutt was really good on debut, Finchy as well. AB batting in the last three overs helped us push it past 160.”

Virat Is Happy For The Positivity Among Bowlers

Virat was impressed by the fact that other than the experienced players, the newcomers were also taking charge. He said:

β€œIn the past, if we had 43 of 5, you’d see the shoulders dropping but the guys kept believing, kept attacking. Someone like Washy not bowling enough and a part-timer doing it are good signs. The fact that we didn’t let negativity slip into the bowling group was a great sign.”
