Jamie Foxx To Star In Netflix Vampire Comedy Movie
The film will mark the directorial debut of JJ Perry, who previously worked in films such as Fast & Furious 9, The Fate of the Furious, Bloodshot, and John Wick franchise as second unit director and stunt coordinator.
With new revisions by Shay Hatten, Tyler Tice has penned the script.
Foxx As A Regular Job Father In The Series
The tale is about a hard-working blue-collar dad (Foxx). He wants to give his fast-witted eight-year-old daughter a good life. His regular job is pool cleaning in the San Fernando Valley. The source of income he only has. It is all about hunting and killing vampires.
Via their 87Eleven Entertainment banner, filmmaker Chad Stahelski will produce the film along with Jason.
With Datari Turner and Peter Baxter, Foxx is executive producing.
“I’ve known and worked with JJ for a long time. His unique vision of ‘Day Shift’ makes it such a great first directorial project for him,” Stahelski said in a statement.
Tyler Tice has written the script. Producers for 87Eleven Entertainment are Chad Stahelski and Jason Spitz. Shaun Redick and Yvette Yates Redick for Impossible Dream Entertainment. With Datari Turner and Peter Baxter, Foxx is executive producing.
Foxx has recently appeared in “Power Project” on Netflix. He will lend his voice as a dedicated music teacher to Pixar’s “Soul.” The Cloned Tyrone” and the series “Dad Stop Embarrassing Me” will co-star in and produce the upcoming film.
For the 2004 movie “Ray” the actor won an Oscar for Best Actor. He has starred in films like “Collateral”, “Miami Vice”, “Django Unchained” and “Only Mercy.”
