Jim Parsons And His Husband Todd Spiewak Had Coronavirus

Jim Parsons recently came on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, and he revealed something exciting. He said that he and his husband Todd had the coronavirus when it had just set its foot in the US. However, they didn’t know about it and quarantined themselves. They had the virus around March, which was the same time as celebrities like Tom Hanks reported about getting the virus. Moreover, both of them recovered without much complication. He said:

β€œβ€³Todd and I both had it early on. It was, like, middle of March.”

Jim Parsons Thought He Was Having Cold

When the virus struck him and his husband, Jim thought they had a common cold. However, they soon lost their sense of taste and smell, and they understood it was something more significant. He said:

β€œWe didn’t know what it was. We thought we had colds. And then it seemed less likely, and then finally we lost our sense of smell and taste.β€³

Jim and Todd have added themselves to the list of celebrities who have got the virus. Interestingly, he is one of the first celebrities as per the timeline to get the coronavirus.

Losing The Sense Of Smell And Taste Was Brutal For Jim Parsons

Jim revealed that it was not a pleasant feeling to lose the sense of smell and taste as he was not used to it. However, tasty or dull the food may be, he never understood it, and it was not a good feeling to not get the taste. He said:

β€œIt defied the descriptions for me. I didn’t realize how completely taste and smell could be gone. And when you’re in quarantine and there’s really nothing to do but eat, oh my God, that was brutal.”

Jim Parsons doesn’t look like the Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory as he has coloured his hair to blonde. He said:

β€œAbout six weeks in, and we had been sick, I thought, ‘Screw it!’ Todd did it. It took about six hours and it burned my scalp. But you know what, beauty is pain.β€³
