As per the recent developments, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeks a high-level probe in death of the actor Sushant Singh Rajput. It also says that Karan Johar insulted him.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide has lead to several things all at once. Allegations, murder conspiracy theories, nepotism and mental health- all these have been on the table.
As per the petition, Karan Johar called Sushant Singh Rajput a “flop star” and insulted him. The petition also mentions the spat between Sushant Singh and Salman Khan was out in the open.
The PIL in Bombay High Court
Social activist Amit Thakkar has filed the PIL in the Bombay High Court. The PIL claims that the late actor was worried about his film Paani, a movie that had to be called off at the last moment. The actor had denied seven big Bollywood films for Paani.
The PIL also questions Dharma Productions‘ role in the release of Sushant’s movie Drive. Drive was to release in theatres at first, but at last released on Netflix instead last year, after much delay.
The PIL reads, “The actor has committed suicide which needs to be investigated, the bigwigs of Bollywood systematically sidelined him and left him with no option but to take the extreme step.”
The PIL also claims that the Mumbai Police is trying to cover up important facts and truth in Sushant’s case.
