Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
It is an American crime drama television series. Dick Wolf creates it for the National Broadcasting Company(NBC). Mariska Hargitay comes up as Captain Olivia Benson, the commanding officer of the Special Victims Unit.
She is formerly a lead detective, in a fictionalised version of the New York City Police Department. Christopher Meloni plays the other lead detective, Elliot Stabler. However, he later departs from the series after 12 seasons.
The Season 21 Finale!
Thursday night’s episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit may not have plans to be the Season 21 finale. It is due to the current pandemic outbreak which forces shows to turn an ordinary episode into a season finale.
But if Season 21 completes as per the plan, fans would have been in for several treats. However, “The Things We Have to Lose” brings several cases that the SVU team handled over the past season. It even includes the shocking Harvey Weinstein‘s case.
Long back in “I’m Going to Make You a Star,” legendary actor Ian McShane comes up as Sir Toby Moore. In Thursday’s episode, the case is finally put under trial. But nothing went according to the hopes of Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and A.D.A. Dominick Carisi (Peter Scanavino).
Warren Leight’s Tweet
The showrunner Warren Leight reveals on Twitter saying that there will be a re-examination of Simon’s death in the finale. Alongside two prominent characters from earlier seasons will return.
Earlier in the season, Barba (Raúl Esparza) returned in a video chat. He and Olivia (Mariska Hargitay) did make plans for when he will be back in town. Carisi and Benson always ran into trouble. Moore’s advocate tried to get the judge to recuse himself. Then explicit photos of Pilar are leaked to the press.
On the day of trial, Moore couldn’t attend it due to a sudden heart problem. So the test is delayed until he can finally participate in it. The story ended with Benson looking up at a television, watching the news report about the delay of the trial again.
Benson looks more determined than ever to see Moore put behind bars. But this is not supposed to be the end. However, the show renews for another three seasons. That could not please impatient fans hoping for a resolution to the story.
Leight previously shares on social media that Season 21 will likely end with Episode 20, written by himself and Julie Martin. We’ll have to wait and see regarding what will come of the planned Episodes 21, 22, and 23 for this season.
