Love Alarm is a South Korean drama television. It is based on the Daum webtoon of the same name. Chon Kye-young presented it. The series premiered on Netflix in August 2019 and gained quick traction on Netflix. It was renewed for another season in October 2019. The show has an IMDb rating of 7.4 and 98% Google users approval.
Love Alarm: The Story
The story revolves around a world in which an app alerts people if someone in the vicinity of a 10 Km radius likes them. The main protagonist Kim Jojo experiences young love while coping with personal adversities.
Hwang Sun-oh and lee Hye-Yeong are good friends since their childhood. Both of them enrol in a program known as βLove Alarmβ in the search for true love. Kim Jo-jo also has joined the program, but the two friends fall in love with her, and hence that is how the conflict began, and the story moves forward.
The Cast
In the second season, the prominent cast members reprised their roles. The main characters include Song Kang playing the role of Hwang Sun-oh Jung Ga-Ram as Lee Hye-Yeong, and Kim So-Hyun as Kim Jo-jo.
Upcoming Seasons
Love Alarm was set to return for a second season in August 2020. But due to the pandemic, it was delayed, and hence there is no current date set for release. The show begins to film this year but will premiere on Netflix in 2021.
