Star Matthew McConaughey confessed that he was the victim of sexual abuse numerous times during his teenage years. He revealed this during his new memoir, “Greenlights,” “Dallas Buyers Club”.

“Greenlight” was released on Tuesday. The memoir tells the story of 50-year-old life through terms he specifies as green, yellow or red lights — events that resulted in him to advance, pause or stop.
The Oscar-winning actor McConaughey then details how each moment taught him a different lesson and helped him move forward.
McConaughey also publicises facts about his parents’ turbulent marriage. Also, his relationship to Camila Alves and his ideology in the memoir.
Victim Of Sexual Abuse And Blackmail
In the introduction of the book, Matthew shared numerous facts about himself. It sets the scene for the rest of the book, also, including his personal experience with sexual abuse. He disclosed that his first-time sex was not consensual and that he was “blackmailed” into it.
McConaughey writes in his memoir: “I was blackmailed into having sex for the first time when I was 15. I was certain I was going to hell for the premarital sex. Today, I am merely certain that I hope that’s not the case.”
McConaughey also reveals that he was “molested by a man when [he] was 18 while knocked unconscious in the back of a van.”
Although he didn’t involve additional details about his experience, also, Matthew acknowledges that he does not consider himself a victim of the situations.
McConaughey writes: “I’ve never felt like a victim. I have a lot of proof that the world is conspiring to make me happy.”
Also, Matthew explained backing his claims that he has a lot of proof that the world is ‘conspiring to make him happy’. This is the first time also the first time that the actor has come out and spoken about his abuse in public.
