Next Stimulus Check for whom and when Latest Updates

The first coronavirus stimulus package, which has benefitted more than 1 million Americans during pandemic unemployment, will expire in July-end.

Now the first package is coming to an end, but the pandemic doesn’t seem to be ending. In this situation, everyone has focused their attention on the second coronavirus stimulus package.

But is another package on its way? And if it is, then when will it be out and who will be able to benefit from it?

It does seem like another coronavirus stimulus package will be passed. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on July 9, β€œThe Republicans know there has to be a bill. Let’s hear what everybody has to say.”

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said that Senate would sit down with the Republicans and the Democrats after the break. The Senate is currently on a break, which will end on Monday, July 20.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said, β€œIt will be our priority to make sure between the 20th and the end of the month that we pass the next legislation.”

McConnell confirmed that the next coronavirus stimulus package could be a part of this legislation.

It is also possible that you might not get the stimulus check at all. The next round of the stimulus package will be $1,200 per person for Americans earning less than $40,000.

For those who qualify for this, they will have the paycheck by August. Mnuchin told CNBC, β€œIt will be our priority to make sure between the 20th and the end of the month that we pass the next legislation.”

Yes, that’s right. The second stimulus might be available from August if it gets approved by July-end in the House and the Senate.

The basis for this speculation is the time when previous stimulus checks were out. The first checks were out in less than three weeks later when President had signed the CARES Act into law.
