After Nokia 3.2 and 4.2 got upgraded to the latest version this month, it looks like Nokia 8 is on its way as well. As per sources, HMD Global has rolled out the Android 10 update for Nokia 8. Launched in February 2018, the Nokia 8 Sirocco was fitted with Android Oreo. The Nokia 8 Sirocco comes with the following attributes:

  • 5.5-inch QHD pOLED display
  • Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor
  • 6GB RAM and 128GBs of Internal Storage.
  • 3260mAh battery

The sirocco later received the Android Pie upgrade last year. However, both Oreo and Pie are now outdated. The release of Android 10 has now put all the older versions to rest. Android 10 is the 2nd major Android OS upgrade the phone is receiving.

HMD Global’s Juho Sarvikas confirmed the rollout via his Twitter account. The first batch to receive the Android 10 upgrade consists of 35 countries. According to the company, India and Sweden are among the 10% of the markets that have already received this upgrade. The date on which the second wave of countries will receive this upgrade will be disclosed further.

How To Download The Update?

Your phone will automatically let you know when the upgrade is available. We suggest using a WiFi as the download size is 1.4GB and may max out your Internet Data Pack.

If You wish to check for an update manually, then:

  • Go To Settings
  • Then opt for System
  • Select the option that says SYSTEM UPDATE
  • Check For Update
