‘Overload’ is a Japanese fantasy manga series adapted from a Japanese light novel of the same name. Kugane Maruyama wrote the novel, and Satoshi Oshio adapted it into manga comics. Madhouse adapts this into an anime television series. The first season of this anime aired in 2015. Till present, it has a total of 39 volumes in 3 seasons including 13 episodes each. And the fourth volume of the popular anime series is on its way.
The release date of the fourth season isn’t confirmed yet. As the world is facing a Coronavirus pandemic, the production gets delayed. But we can expect to release it on and around later in 2020 or the first half of 2021.
Flashback From Last Season And Trailer
In the last episode of volume 3, we see Gazef challenge Ainz for combat. Ainz understands the unknown strategy and discovers how to kill Gazef. He uses a time spell to takedown him. That’s where the story ended. Also, the official trailer isn’t published yet for the fourth season. So, we could not tell what’s coming next.
As the anime series is based on the light novel, we expect the same plot as in the book. The adaptation of the novel as an anime isn’t an easy task as it has to be visually and characteristically engaging. So, some new characters may be added to the season. We know the protagonist, as well as the supervillain of the series, is Momonga Ainz. He grows more powerful in the series than ever. We expect more action and a stronger plot than the third season of the series.
The Cast And Characters
The cast and characters of the season may be the same as previous seasons. There is no official confirmation yet. But the cast may include – Satoshi Hino as Momonga Ainz, Yumi Hara as Albedo. Also, there is Sumire Uesaka as Shalltear Bloodfallen, Manami Numakura as Narberal Gamma, and Masayuki Katou as Demiurge and many more.
We can not wait till the series come out but sure that the wait will worth it.
