Pat Cummins was bought for a whopping 15.5 crores by KKR when the teams came together for auction of IPL 2020. So people expected him to scare the batsmen when the matches started. However, he was heavily trolled after his game against Mumbai Indians. During the match, he did not take any wickets and gave away too many runs. However, he came back strong against RR yesterday when he played the game like a complete professional and gave away just 13 runs from his three overs and even took the most crucial wicket of Steve Smith.

IPL is unique for many reasons, but there is one reason that stands out remarkably. It gives a platform where international team members become rivals. The best example was when Kohli faced Bumrah in the super over and RCB a thrilling contest. A somewhat similar rivalry was expected between Steve Smith and Pat Cummins when RR and KKR set out to play. However, Steve Smith got out very early, and it was Cummins who took the wicket.
