Piers Morgan received a lot of backlash for his views on gender. The show ‘Good morning Britain’ was quick enough to respond to the grudges and put up a poll asking the audience whether they wanted him to stay in the show as a host. The viewers were quick enough to respond to the poll, and the majority voted him to be sacked out of the show because of the controversial image he has been carrying in the show. The poll result showed 60 per cent. The same poll was also put up on Twitter, and the viewers were quick to respond to the other social media platform as well. Nearly 500,000 people voted in the Twitter poll.
IS THE WEBSITE “SNOWFLAKES” REALLY TO BE BLAMED?
Surprisingly, Morgan did not approve of the allegations and blamed “snowflakes” for the poll’s results. He stated, ” When I left the building yesterday, the poll was 80 per cent solidly I should stay. We had about 60-70,000 votes trending”. He accused the website “snowflakes” of hijacking the poll calculation as well as the Twitter handles. Morgan requested the viewers and said, “You are my army. I need you to get busy this morning. We cannot let the snowflakes win.”
HUGE NUMBER OF PETITIONS HAVE ALREADY BEEN CREATED AND SIGNED TO REMOVE PIERS MORGAN OUT OF THE SHOW.
Meanwhile, a profound website initiated a petition, change.org.petition, against Piers Morgan for his derogatory remarks on the LGBTQ+ community. The petition had successfully reached 16,500 signatures agreeing and calling him to be removed from the show. The change.org.petition stated, ” Morgan dictates to his viewer, that it is acceptable to deny an LGBTQ+ person of their rights; it’s acceptable to tell them “snowflakes” when they get rightfully upset.” The show host along with his co-host Susanna Reid eventually receives a lot of backlashes as well as complaints about his “rude conduct”.
