PlayStation 5 Console: Sony launched the much-awaited PlayStation 5 console yesterday on June 11 at 1 pm Pacific time. The Japanese tech tycoon kept secret about the launch event for a long time. But back on June 8, PlayStation posted about the launch event of PS 5 on June 11.
The event is originally scheduled to take place on June 4 but delayed for the time. However, the event finally held on June 11 and named as “PS5 – The Future of Gaming”. After the disappointing “The Road to PS5” event earlier in 2020, everyone was looking forward to this launch event.

Previously, the console expected to come out before May 2020. But Sony officially confirmed the console would not come out before Nov or Dec in this year. However, many are expecting the PS 5 console to come out on Oct just before the holiday season. For now, when we are gonna get the console in our hand, it is yet to be accurate.

Sony tried to make the PlayStation 5 console as affordable as possible. So, the PS 5 console may cost around $499 in the USA. As well as in the UK it will cost 499 pounds. But these prices are only predicted or rumoured.

Sony decided to develop the PS 5 to be a solid-state drive console. It will reduce the dead time for the games. Such as loading screens and corridor level designs will take no time to load. For example, the Spider-Man on PS 5 will load 18 times faster than on PS 4.
The GPU for PS 5 capped at 2.23 GHz that translates to 10.3 teraflops gaming power. Whereas, the CPU of PS 5 is capped at 3.5 GHz. Those run on boost mode but has the variable frequency strategy changing function. This certainly helps not to draw power in-game for moving forward.
The PS 5 will support for ‘sub-pixel geometry’ with 8K graphics making the visual incredible. Time Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games, said talked about this sub-zero pixel details. He said, ” We wanted to empower creators to create photorealistic scenes indistinguishable from reality.”
