In August, Normoyle was on a three-week holiday to California when he made the fateful decision to rent a boat for two hours. During a visit to the famed beauty spot. After weeks of fruitless searching, the police took the help of Bruce’s Legacy. A non-profit search and rescue organization that eventually found the corpse in the muddy waters using underwater sonar.

“The cellphone video basically shows him jumping off the boat,” South Lake Tahoe Police Department’s Lt. Travis Cabral told CBS13. “It looks like he was playing around playing in the water didn’t know the boat was in gear and he wasn’t able to make it back to the boat.”
The police started the inquiry after the empty boat ran ashore in Glenbrook, Nevada. They found his phone on board with the eerie footage. They were able to put together his final moments using the GPS data. Only after more than a month of searching was his body discovered last week.
It took another three days to deal with 3-4 foot waves in very rough water before they were able to carry it to the surface on Sunday.
