Shane Dawson Comes Up With A Video For ‘Taking Accountability’
Earlier this week, Shane Dawson was trending for his latest video. The video is named ‘Taking Accountability’, and Shane talks of the mistakes he has committed while creating content for YouTube. He admitted that he was wrong in making jokes on racism and paedophilia. Shane also scanned through all his videos to remove any wrong content. He said, “This video is coming from a place of just wanting to own up to my s***, wanting to own up to everything I’ve done on the internet that has hurt people – that has added to the problem, that has not been handled well. I should have been punished for things.”
Shane Dawson Faces Wrath Of Jaden Smith And Jada Pinkett
Along with this video, another video started circulating the internet. It was a video of Shane from his Youtube channel. The video shows him sexualizing Willow Smith. He acts like he is masturbating in front of a Willow Smith poster where she is just eleven years old. The video reached both Jaden Smith and Jada Pinkett who expressed their anger through Twitter.
Shane Dawson Loses Subscribers After His Latest Video
Somehow, Shane’s apology did not strike a chord with the viewers. His apology did not look very convincing and has led to a negative impact on his channel. The Willow Smith video made things worse for him and somehow cut the effect of his apology. Many viewers who had subscribed Shane have now unsubscribed him. Ever since the rise of Black Lives Matter, people are reacting to racism more openly. Shane has nearly lost 700,000 subscribers in just a few days and is on track to lose a million subscribers.
YouTube Suspends Monetization Of Shane Dawson’s YouTube Channels
Nothing is going right for Shane at the moment. To make matters worse, YouTube has decided to suspend the monetization of all three channels of Shane Dawson. As per the reports, YouTube stripped down the monetization w.e.f. 29 June 2020. YouTube took this decision because Shane’s videos have violated several community guidelines of the platform. For YouTube, any content, no matter how old it is, violating the guidelines will face strict action.
