Sony PS5 Initial Reveal Event Date

The initial reveal event of PS5 was set for June 4, 2020. People were excited to watch the event as they did not want to miss the reveal of one of the best upcoming gaming consoles of the gaming world. To everyone’s disappointment, Sony decided to postpone the event without giving any information about when the event will take place. They gave the coronavirus pandemic as the reason behind the postponement of the event. Sony said through its official Twitter handle that they felt it was not the right to celebrate this product when the world is going through something much painful. Many were expecting a reveal later at the end of the year between October and December.

Sony PS5 New Release Date

It came as a surprise to many when Sony confirmed the new state for the reveal event of PS5. A leak from a twitch ad revealed the release date as June 11, 2020, at 1 pm PT / 4 pm ET. The same was later in Play Station’s tweet. The tweet written under the official account of Play Station said, “See you Thursday, June 11 at 1:00 pm Pacific time (9:00 pm BST) for a look at the future of gaming on #PS5.”

Streaming Of Sony PS5 Reveal Event

The stream needs to be of 4K quality and above 60 FPS to show what PS5 has in store. So the streaming of the event will take place at 1080p and 30 frames per second. Sony made a statement regarding this through its Play Station blog post. It said, “This eased the show’s production process during a time when many of our team and developers are working from home. The games you’ll see on Thursday will look even better when you play them on PS5 with a 4K TV, as you’d expect.”

Audio Work In PS5 Reveal Event

Sony has also recommended its viewers to use headphones for the event for the best experience. They said about this through the Play Station blog post saying, “[T] here’s some cool audio work in the show, and it might be harder to appreciate if it’s pumped through your phone or laptop speakers,”
