Microsoft revealed that it’s not going to make any Xbox Series X Β exclusives Β and new features like Smart Delivery for a while and most of the publishers will be making cross-gen games for the next two years

The Japanese company is intended in releasing games for both PS 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X using the backward compatibility of PS5 and Xbox Series X

Square Enix is currently working on some major games like impending PlayStation 4, Dragon Quest 12, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, publishing Outriders, and a game from People Can Fly.

Β Q&A of the company’s financial results

In the recent Q&A of the company’s current third-quarter financial results, Square Enix showed no interest in making exclusives to theΒ  Xbox Series X and the Play Station 5, and it would develop cross-generation games instead

President Yosuke Matsuda responded to the queries of whether Square Enix is working on next-gen titles. He said that he wants to make the game available in all generations since both PS5 and Xbox Series X will be suitable with the new generation of games

Matsuda told the buyers, “The next-generation consoles will have backward compatibility, so we plan for the time being taken to make our new titles available for both current and next-generation consoles “

“It will, therefore, be somewhat farther down the road that we release titles exclusively for the next-generation consoles.”
