He said that if the economy doesn’t convince the voters, then the party could face a bloodbath. Also, Republicans need to check the current COVID-19 pandemic. On CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” Cruz said that the year 2020 presidential election situation was quite volatile. Everything changes quickly in politics.
Cruz Feels That This Year’s Election Is Highly volatile.
“I am worried. It’s volatile, it’s highly volatile … if people are going back to work, if they’re optimistic, if they’re positive about the future, we could see a fantastic election,” said Ted Cruz. He was sure that Trump could win both houses of Congress if people demands are heard, and the economy is taken care of.
He further added that President Donald Trump could be reelected by large margin again. But the only condition is that the US citizens should feel safe. The economy should be revived, and the death numbers must fall.

But at the same time, Cruz felt that if the people are angry and depressed before the election, then the election could turn into a complete disaster. The Republicans will be forced to let go of White House as well as both houses of Congress. Ted seemed worried as he said, “It could be a bloodbath of Watergate proportions.”
Republicans are also worried that Trump could face a terrible loss in the election. Currently, Trump’s party enjoy a majority in the Senate.
However, Senate Democrats are collecting enormous amounts of money and are giving Trump a tough competition in the states which he won easily in 2016. It includes South Carolina, Iowa and Alaska.
