‘The Boys’ showrunner Eric Kripke has announced when Season 3 will begin their production. Also, detailing what the process will look like in a pandemic world.

During the [email protected] announcement of Amazon Studios ‘The Boys’ has already prevailed to get renewed for Season 3.
Also, the showrunner Eric Kripke has shared not only when production will begin but also what it will look like considering the current (COVID-19) pandemic.

Kripke informed Collider that The Boys Season 3 would begin shooting in January 2021. The production has the first four scripts already completed.
Also, it is noted that the writers take part in daily Zoom calls. Kripke further added on how all episodes of Season 3 will be scripted and finalised before principal photography begins early next year.
Filming During the Global Pandemic
Season 3 will have a slightly differently shooting as compared to the production process of Season 2.
In other words, episodes are going to be completed through block shooting, with production filming dual episodes back-to-back. Also, Season 3 has 15 days assigned for shooting per episode in contrast to Season 2’s 12 days.
It will be based on the comic book of the same name; The Boys takes place in a world where superheroes are recognised and adored by the general public.
Besides, several were being owned by Vought International, which industriously calls them as celebrities. Again, the series focuses on two groups: Vought’s superhero team, The Seven, and a nemesis group looking to keep corrupted heroes under control, The Boys.
