What Is ‘The Society’ From Netflix
The Society is a web-series available on Netflix. The show has a very interesting plot which is driven by teenage actors. The story is a little twisted from the start. Teenagers from West Ham, Connecticut go for a field but it gets canceled and they return mid-way. They reach back to find that everyone has disappeared from their town. Moreover, the entire city is bound by a thick forest of trees. The way in which the teenagers survive and build a new community from scratch makes up the rest of the show.
Netflix Cancels Season 2 Of ‘The Society’
The Society received a thunderous reception from the audience upon its release. People couldn’t help but appreciate the premise which was very unique. Moreover, the show had a bunch of teenage newcomers who made the show a lot more fresh. In July 2019, Netflix renewed the show for another season seeing a good response for the show. However, there is a sudden change in plan from Netflix. The pandemic situation has forced Netflix to resort to cost-cutting measures. As a result, it has decided to cancel the second season of the show.
Netflix Issues Formal Statement Regarding Cancelation Of The Society Season 2
Netflix made a sad announcement when they made it official that they are not going forward with the second season of The Society. It has also decided to cancel the second season of I Am Not Okay With This. Fans are very disappointed with the news who were eagerly waiting for the second season ever since the approval for it. Netflix’s announcement said, “We’ve made the difficult decision not to move forward with second seasons of The Society and I Am Not Okay With This.”

Netflix further thanked the makers and people behind the series for their efforts. Their statement further said, “We’re disappointed to have to make these decisions due to circumstances created by COVID, and we are grateful to these creators, including Chris Keyser, Marc Webb and Pavlina Hatoupis for The Society; and all the writers, casts, and crews who worked tirelessly to make these shows for our members around the world.”
