To Celebrate ‘The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air’ 30th Anniversary, HBO Max Launches An Unscripted Reunion!: Andy and Susan Borowitz create The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. It aired on September 10, 1990. It had a total of six seasons and ended on May 20, 1996.
The show completes its 30th anniversary this year, so the cast members are reuniting this year to celebrate the show. The show will tape on September 10 and go on-air with its debut on HBO Max around Thanksgiving.
Starting from series star Will Smith and series regulars Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Daphne Maxwell Reid, Joseph Marcell, and Alfonso Ribeiro to DJ Jazzy Jeff, everyone will be a part of the special. It originally ran on NBC for a bashful of only 150 episodes. It makes HBO Max it’s exclusive streaming home of the entire run of “Fresh Prince.”
Marcus Raboy will be the director of this special. Miguel Melendez is the shows executive producer, alongside Brad Haugen and Lukas Kaiser for Westbrook Media. Moreover, Rikki Hughes will serve both as showrunner and executive producer.
It marks the latest TV reunion special centred on the classic sitcom this year. Earlier back in April, the cast reunited for Smith’s Snapchat series “Will From Home.”
Starting this month, Will Smith and Westbrook announced that there would be a drama reboot of the series. Morgan Cooper’s viral video, “Bel-Air,” constructs the show. COVID-19 has delayed a lot of old series special launch.
The cast of “The West Wing” declared their reunion for a theatrical staging of the “Hartsfield’s Landing” episode from the third season. The show to be shot at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles. The show makers announced this week.
The service’s launch includes an unscripted “Friends” reunion special.
