Nicki Minaj And 6ix9ine: Nicki Minaj and 6ix9ine’s single “Trollz” claimed the number 1 position at the Billboard Hot 100 last week as a debut. But surprisingly, the song fell from the position like none other ever has.
Going from number 1 debutant song last week, it went down to no 34 this week on the charts. This song was the 40th song to launch at number one position on the chart, but sadly it broke a record which wouldn’t make either of the singers happy.
The biggest fall
As per the reports of Charts Datai, “Trollz” dropped 33 positions within a week- the biggest fall for a number one debutant song to make ever.
The song had debuted on the U.S. Spotify chart at No.15.with 760,000 streams. But even on Spotify, the rank went down quickly to number 38.
Unfortunately for them, it didn’t stop there. It came down to the number 95 on the eighteenth day of its release.
Speculations and reactions
If you listen to the fans, then they are saying that the first reason that the song had such a good opening is because of the large social media following of Nicki Minaj.
One of the fans said, “This is what a No1 without radio or playlisting looks like in 2020. If you remove the industry control factors, it’s turbulent.”
Another fan tweeted, “A song with no radio. No playlist. Spotify paid it to dust. Apple Music etc. Industry hated on it. Independent artist and label. Hated. It already got to the top spot so it can only fall. Congrats barbz. We make and break records.”
6ix9ine accused Beiber
Although we haven’t heard much from the two stars after their single hit the bottom rock, 6ix9ine had previously accused Justine Beiber of bad game
In May, Tekashi 6ix9ine accused Justin Beiber and Ariana Grande of playing a bad game to reach the number 1 spot on the charts.
In one May 18 Instagram video, 6ix9ine said, “You can buy Number Ones on Billboard.”
Now whether he will come up again with something like this or not, we don’t know. But 6ox9ine is already moving ahead with some other projects.
