Donald Trump’s Conversation With Xi Jinping Regarding Coronavirus
UNBELIEVABLE AND SHOCKING! Donald Trump Admits To Downplaying Coronavirus!: Trump had a talk with Pulitzer Prize winner Woodward who used the conversations for his recent book Rage. He recorded the conversation with the permission of Trump and CNN released the recording.
In the recording, he reveals about his meeting with Xi Jinping and their conversation regarding the coronavirus. As per the recording, he said:
“We were talking mostly about the virus and I think he’s going to have it in good shape, but it’s a very tricky situation. It goes through the air, Bob. That’s always tougher than the touch.”
Trump Calls Coronavirus Deadlier Than Strenuous Flu
Donald Trump in March called coronavirus less deadly than common flu in a tweet when there were less than 500 cases of coronavirus. However, in his conversation with Woodward, he has an opposite view. He said to Woodward:
“That’s a very tricky one. That’s a very delicate one. It’s also more deadly than even your severe flu,” Trump, 74, continued. “People don’t realize, we lose 25,000-30,000 people a year here, who would ever think that, right? I mean it’s pretty amazing. And then I said, ‘Well is that the same thing?’ It is more deadly.”
Donald Trump Downplays Coronavirus
Throughout this pandemic, Trump has always tried to act casually about the virus. He has asserted that the virus will disappear one day. However, his audio recordings with Woodward reveal that realized the danger of coronavirus and was trying to downplay it to reduce panic. In his call recording, he said:
“Bob, really to be honest with you, I wanted always to play it down, I still like playing it down, because I don’t want to create a panic. Now it’s turning out that it’s not just old people, Bob — today and yesterday some startling facts came out, it’s not just older people.”
Lies By Trump Doesn’t Go Down Well With The US Citizens
Americans are outraged that Trump was lying all through these months, which resulted in a passive attitude of people towards the virus. People are not happy that Trump tried to downplay the virus even though he knew it was deadlier than common flu.
