Donald Trump Is Not In Line With Mail-In Voting
US Election 2020: Donald Trump Asks People To Vote Twice, Which Is ILLEGAL!: This year’s election is a special one because there is a third party called coronavirus. Only the election result will decide as to who among Joe Biden and Donald Trump got more hit by it.
As of now, coronavirus pandemic has pushed many people to opt for mail-in voting instead of going polling booth. However, Trump is not happy with it as he feels the mail-in voting system can lead to fraud even though he has no evidence to support this. The mail-in voting will ensure a good voter’s turnout for an election year scarred by a coronavirus.
Donald Trump Encourages People To Vote Twice
Donald Trump gave the bizarre idea to the people to vote twice. He asked people to vote once through the mail-in system and the second time by going to the polling booth. Trump’s comments will not go down well with other politicians as it is illegal to vote twice. He said:
“Let them send it in and let them go vote, and if their system’s as good as they say it is, then obviously they won’t be able to vote. If it isn’t tabulated, they’ll be able to vote. So that’s the way it is. And that’s what they should do.”
Donald Trump Takes His Illegal Idea To Twitter
Donald Trump did not turn his back and went ahead with his idea to Twitter. He tweeted encouraging people to vote through both the systems to check if the mail-in voting works or not. He said:
“[I]n order for you to MAKE SURE YOUR VOTE COUNTS & IS COUNTED, SIGN & MAIL-IN your Ballot as EARLY as possible go to your Polling Place to see whether or not your Mail-In Vote has been Tabulated (Counted). If it has you will not be able to Vote & the Mail-In System worked properly. If it has not been Counted, VOTE (which is a citizen’s right to do).”
Twitter Puts A Disclaimer On Trump’s Tweets
Twitter immediately decided to put a disclaimer on Trump’s tweet. It claimed that his tweet violated the policy on civic and election integrity. Over the years, Twitter has flagged Prez Trump’s tweet.
