Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie were considered to be part of Brad Pitt’s love life. Pitt and Aniston recently sent the internet ablaze with their emotional reunion at the SAG Awards and even at their star-studded table reading Fast Times at the Ridgemont High. Meanwhile, when it comes to Brad Pitt and Jolie, they’ve been on tabloid covers from their Mr. and Mrs. Smith days to their most recent divorce and custody fights. Brad Pitt also dated other A-listers, such as Gwyneth Paltrow.
The pair was from 1994 to 1997. The partnership between Pitt and Paltrow began on the Se7en collection of 1995. E Online reported that after winning the Golden Globe for 12 Monkeys, the actor thanked Paltrow and called her “angel” and “love of [his] life.” The actor later proposed, and the couple had been dating briefly until they broke up. Since then, Paltrow has explained the factors contributing to their divorce, putting much of the blame on itself.
According to Entertainment Tonight, during an interview with Howard Stern, Paltrow opened up her friendship with Pitt. She expressed that she was falling in love with Pitt, but that love is not enough.
He was such a child. When we met, I was 22. And it took me until I was 40 to pull my head out of my butt. I wasn’t ready, and you know, it was too sweet for me.
Eight years of age gap
The pair had a good age gap, with Pitt 8 years older than Paltrow. Eight years means that people are in varying life stages when it comes to people in the 20s and 30s. Paltrow said she wanted to do certain things on a personal basis before she settled down. Her father was shocked, too, when his daughter broke up with Pitt. But Pitt’s career reached an upswing with his cast in A River Runs Across It (1992), which cemented his reputation as a multi-layer star rather than just a pretty face.
