In December 2012, Reed married Justine Karain. After Patrick transferred from Georgia, the pair met at Augusta State University. Justine was a nurse and a swimmer and played football.
For his first two years on the PGA circuit, JUSTINE acted as Patrick’s caddie. Speaking about it, Patrick admitted that before they both agreed it was a good idea, he checked her because she is only 5’1. He put extra clothes and water bottles in his bag, according to the Golf Channel, to see if she could support the weight.
After falling pregnant with their first child, she gave up being his caddy, but then her brother, Kessler Karain, took over.

Together, the Reeds have two children, daughter Windsor Wells and son Barrett Benjamin.
In 2014, Justine got hospitalized after suffering a seizure in the bathroom. Doctors said she was very fortunate to survive. It was not more damaging as Patrick found her quick.
