Xiaomi Vs. Redmi: Xiaomi’s sub-company Redmi unveiled its first fitness band during Xiaomi’s Mi Fan Festival 2020 event. The event also featured the launch of 22 new products of Xiaomi. IT includes Mi Bunny Watch 4 smartwatch, Mi Air 2S earbuds, new smart TV, connected camera, and router models that are arriving in the Chinese market.
Below are all the features that were announced in the event. We will also compare the Redmi band with its sibling MI band 4.
Display and Mode (Xiaomi Vs. Redmi)
The Redmi Band has a rectangular 1.08-inch LCD colour display. The screen is flat. The band screen can display notifications from your phone and weather forecast. You can also control music and personalize dial space.
It comes with an optical heart rate sensor to enable continuous real-time monitoring of heart rate. It also has a sleep tracker to let you analyze your sleep pattern. The band also features a step tracker and calorie tracker and five distinct sports modes.
With IP68 water resistance, you can wear it while swimming. Also, it is equipped with a swim stroke recognition and swim tracking feature.
Battery And Connectivity
The built-in battery life can last for 14 days and a full charge takes 2 hours.
It comes with an integrated USB connector that simplifies the charging of the band just by simply plugging into a USB charger.
Besides, the Redmi Band has Android compatibility that makes it operable with phones other than the Redmi and Mi models.
Price And Availability (Xiaomi Vs. Redmi)
The band will be available at 10:00 local time on April 9 in China. If you pre-order now, the price is CNY 95(around Rs. 1,000) and it will cost you CNY 99 after 9 April launching. It is expected that it will hit the Indian market in 2020.
The band is available in Black, Blue, Red, and Brown and you can choose from 72 “watch faces” to personalize the look of the band.

Screen. MI Band 4 has a 0.95-inch AMOLED display in an oval shape. Redmi band has a 1.08-inch rectangular display.

Modes Available. Redmi band features 5 distinct modes while Xiaomi band can support 6 workout modes.
Other features. Both have continuous heart rate monitoring, swim tracking and water resistance up to 50m.
